                                Mothers Day                       weekend GTG

                                        May 8th, 9th, 10th, and 11th

Myself and Flyineagle will be camping at the KOA campground there in Elkhart from Thur eve to Sun morning.  Its mothers day weekend and the campground has a bargain rate of a free night of camping if your so inclined, I think they also have a free night on cabins, or there are any number of motels in the immediate area if you are so inclined.  http://www.middleburykoa.com/
We were hoping to take in a tour of one of the camper manufacturers in the area but after a phone call this evening, since they are down to a 4 day work week, and you guessed it, Fri is the day they are off.   Grrrrrr      So Fri is open for suggestions of things to do.
     .

Friday           http://www.nycrrmuseum.org/       11am  Get to pull a REAL train horn, lol.

Sat I thought we might meet up at the camper museum that was reopened last fall, sounds rather interesting http://www.roadsideamerica.com/attract/INELKrvhof.html

11am in the parking lot or if your extremely early you can catch us at the campground before we leave.  Lunch will be at Ryans Steakhouse and buffet 2810 Emerson Dr Elkhart, IN 46514 aproximately at 2 or a little before.

I know there are numerous Amish shops to take in, and I'm sure a few camper outlet stores, lol.  Hey ya just never know what ya might find in there.

Hoping to see some others up that way join in with input and also come on out and enjoy the day!

More than likely Fri eve and Sat eve, unless otherwise scheduled we will have a short and simple modding session, on the schedule as of now are the tail gate torsion bars.

Didit

ps if your interested in the torsion bar, you can read about it here, trust me with the AV tail gate being what they are, these are just fabulous.

http://autoaccessconnect.stores.yahoo.net/taasforpitr.html

I will be ordering them later this week of early next week, let me know, if we get six or more its free shipping, everybody saves.  I have three to order so far.

I would have to say, that for $20, this mod has to be the best improvement for the $ that I know of.

Well ............pictures huh, hmmm I've got a few, I'll see what I can do!  Gotta find my cord first though.  Todays activities included going to about 4 or 5 camper surplus stores in search of a tire, since Flyineagle blew a tire on the way down, scored big time at the last store we were in, he got two of em on rims no less, so when we got back he went into the tire changing business, campside, hahaha.  Then we or I fixed his out side outlet since it had quit working, he replaced his plugin on  the camper, replaced one of the lights on the inside, got Motodj's torsion bar installed in short order, the smile on his face was absolutely priceless, worth the whole trip, went to lunch at the Village Inn amish restaurant after taking a unplanned short cruise through the Amish Countryside.  The Amish lady on the riding tractor cutting grass just took my breath away!  At the restaurant the food was delicious, however we noticed on the chalk board where the pies of the day were listed, strawberry, pecan etc etc, "bob and andy" then more pies, well I couldn't resist I asked the young Amish girl, ok I give up, who or what is a "Bob and Andy" hmmm  Well Lu had "Bob and Andy" right at the dinner table, hehe it was some kind of whole cream merangue type pie laced with cinnamon, it tasted pretty darn good, apparenty a Amish favorite, I stuck with the fresh strawberry pie, lol.  Pic coming shortly as soon as I remember which pic resizer I'm using at home, thank God for google, lol.

What did you haul in your AV today?
