McNair Park GTG, June 8, 2008

OK, everyone - here's the scoop

When:  Sunday, June 8th, 2008, 9am till ????
Where: McNair Park, shelter #4
             3100 Droste Rd
             St. Charles, MO  63301

There is only a couple tables at the shelter, so anyone with extra portable tables please bring them along.  Electricity is available and there's a BBQ grill next to the shelter.  The Parks Dept lady said there is a HUGE parking lot right next to the shelter, so we should be good with the Av's.  Banners are fine (checking into making one) and we have the shelter from sunup until midnight.  Cost is $80 for the day for rental (not a deposit)  She also said there is a playground nearby (with in a short walking distance), and we will be near the pool for any brave souls...

I plan on being there by 8am to make sure no one jumps into the pavilion and we end up having a problem, but everyone just come as you can.  (9 am if you can make it  )

Now who's gonna be there?!!

MoAv -        tailgate torsion bar (hmmm...I have a power lock to do too since the tailgate will be off... )

McNair Park     

98 acres of parkland, family aquatic pool complex, 11 athletic fields, 6 horseshoe courts, lighted tennis courts, exercise trail, shelter and concession stand. Six lighted softball and baseball fields are first-rate for tournaments.

I have a couple old softball bats laying around too. (No ball though)

Great!! You're on the list.  How many will be with you? I'll add the + number.

As far as the food, I'm going to say just bring whatever meat you want to grill, and if everyone brings side dishes/desserts to share, we should cover everything.  Just post what dish/dessert you'll bring, and I'll keep a running list in the first post so we can all see what needs to be brought. 

I'll bring foam plates, plastic silverware, and plastic cups. 


I also have the tailgate torsion bar mod to do...can I watch you first?

Hmm. I've got a couple of SS ones that I was going to put in my tailgate, but if I can find some black plastic ones between now and the GTG, you are welcome to those...Or if you want the plastic ones like I have, I can pick up a couple extra for you when I get mine... just let me know.

I'll bring a box of 1/2lb hamburgers... I think there's 16 in a box so get them fast!  (actually they are steak burgers from the Kansas City Steak Company.)
